Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, is attempting to join Real Madrid again after joining the Saudi club Al-Nassr a few months ago.
Ronaldo will be given a non-playing role as an ambassador by Real Madrid, claims Spanish publication El Nacional.
“Florentino Perez has guaranteed that [Ronaldo] will not lack work at the Santiago Bernabeu,” El Nacional reported.
“But it is clear that he wouldn’t do it if he were a player because he believes that the cycle should be thought of as closed.”
Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo’s girlfriend, is rumored to have a similar desire to visit the Spanish capital, where the two first met.
With 451 goals in 438 games during his time at the Bernabeu, Ronaldo is a Real Madrid club legend.
Ronaldo has scored 12 goals in 13 league games since joining Al-Nassr.
