A total of 120 camps were held in Dubai last year thanks to a number of prestigious sports clubs.

As part of its preparations for international competitions during the upcoming athletic season, the Qatari Junior & Youth National Swimming Team holds its training camp at the Hamdan Sports Complex.

Twelve swimmers aged 15 to 18 are participating in the three-week camp, which runs until July 20. There are also trainers and technical bodies present.

Winter Camps in Dubai

Recently, a number of representatives from Arabian and international sports clubs and federations visited Dubai to set up camps that would take advantage of the unique sporting and tourist amenities available there.

Numerous clubs from Europe and abroad have already reserved space for their winter training camps in Dubai. FC Rostov, Krasnodar, Dynamo Moscow, and Spartak Moscow are the clubs.

Full-equipped Facilities

The Scottish Celtic Football Club has also committed to hosting a camp in the Emirate of Dubai, which continues to draw more international training camps for clubs and national teams in a variety of sports and age groups. Along with the noticeable presence of Olympic champions and other sports personalities, Dubai observes a notable rise in the number of training camps for clubs and national teams competing in various sports competitions. The Hamdan Sports Complex, Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, clubs, and resorts in the Emirate—which have fully functional sports stadiums and facilities of the highest caliber—hosted more than 120 training camps last year.

Based on the availability of several well-equipped sports facilities of international standard and all factors of attraction, including infrastructure and easy access to pitches, Dubai Sports Council collaborates with various entities in the United Arab Emirates and abroad to facilitate the arrival of international athletes and clubs into Dubai to organize training camps.
