Source: DJ Rodman Commits to USC Men's Basketball, Will Team Up With Bronny James

In 31 games last season for Washington State, Rodman averaged 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds.

The USC men’s basketball team keeps picking up recruits. According to a source involved in the recruitment, DJ Rodman, a transfer from Washington State, committed to the Trojans three days after the NBA legend LeBron James’ son Bronny James signed with them. On his official visit on Monday night, Rodman made a commitment.

Dennis Rodman, whose playing career saw him win five NBA titles, is the father of Rodman. During his most recent four seasons, the younger Rodman played for Washington State. In 31 games last year, he had an average of 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds. As a senior, Rodman had a 38.1% three-point shooting percentage. The last year of his eligibility will be used at USC.

Roster Breakdown

Drew Peterson’s graduation and Tre White’s transfer to Louisville give USC the forward it so desperately needed in Rodman.

We anticipate that Rodman will start for USC alongside the guard line-up of Boogie Ellis, Isaiah Collier, and Kobe Johnson in the upcoming season. Joshua Morgan or Vincent Iwuchukwu will be the starting center for USC.

It’s possible that James enters the first five if Trojans head coach Andy Enfield chooses to start a smaller lineup. Reese Dixon-Waters was transferred to San Diego State, so James is now more likely to fill the sixth man void that was left. Sixth Man of the Year in the Pac-12 for 2022–23 was Dixon-Waters.

The addition of Rodman puts USC at 11 scholarships for next season assuming James is on scholarship. The 12 scholarship cap prevents the Trojans from using the transfer portal.
