Superstitious UConn Head Coach Sports Same Gameday Outfit, Including Underwear, Amid March Madness Success

UConn men’s basketball coach According to reports, Dan Hurley has a strong superstition.

The Huskies return to the Final Four on The men’s basketball team will play on Saturday night for the first time since they won their fourth and final national championship in 2014, and according to Hurley’s wife, he plans to stick to his routine.

That includes donning the identical attire, right down to his underwear.

“He always pulls up the game that he had against the opponents to see what he was wearing,” wife The New York Post was told by Andrea Hurley. “He’s going to dress the same way if they won that game.”

Hurley has reportedly been washing the same pair of fire-breathing dragon underwear since the competition started earlier this month, according to his wife.

“They’re like Underoos for adults,” she told the outlet.

If UConn were to beat fifth-seeded Miami Hurley will likely dress in the same navy blue suit that he has been donning since the Huskies’ victory over Iona on March 17 for Saturday night’s game.

Kimani Young and Luke Murray, two of Harley’s assistants, are reportedly making daily trips to the dry cleaners as a result of the superstitious Harley’s influence, according to the Post.

UConn is the highest seeded team in the NCAA men’s tournament and is looking to capture its fifth national title in nearly a decade. The Huskies have an 8-1 record in the Final Four and haven’t been there since they last made it there.

“The climb to get to this point has been real, and it’s been more challenging than I thought,” Hurley made this comment following his team’s rout of Gonzaga on Saturday.
